Physics class question

At my school (west virginia university) they offer two types of physics classes. Introductory physics and General physics. I think this is pretty common. Both are 4 credit courses and both fulfill the physics requirement for a biology degree.

Is there a preference to either as far as med school is concerned?

Intro class is 101 and gen class is 111... not sure if that helps or not.

Intro is likely algebra based, while general is calc based. Depending on your math comprehension level ( if you like math then go for it, if not go for algebra).

Okay, I haven't taken calc yet. My GPA is not as competitive as I would like it to be because of a horrid first semester. So if you think it would be beneficial to me to take the general physics then I would do that. But if you're saying it really doesn't matter one way or another then ill sign up for the intro class.

Yeah, that's how it works at my school too. One is Algebra based, and open to everyone, and the other is calc-based, and primarily just for Physics majors.

Seeing as you've not taken calc. I'd say intro. Simply being said algebra based physics is easier then calc based physics.
