When students ask me "what equations do I need to memorize?", I respond by stating that they need to memorize any equation that is used often. Memorizing equations is part of building your scientific confidence.
Be sure to understand when an equation applies and when it does not. For example, v=at does not apply when the acceleration is not constant.
