Hey guys, currently am a sophmore, taking orgo I, bio I and next semester i will be taking Orgo II and Bio II, what I'm wondering is, should I take physics I over the summer, and that way take physics II first semester junior year, and have an entire semester to study for MCAT's since ill be done with all my sciences...and then take the MCAT's spring of my junior year?

Or i can take physicsI during the fall and take physics II during spring, and might even have to take the MCAT's before I cover everything in physics... Kinda confused here...even tho the professor who teaches during the Fall semester is maybe the best professor at the school, loved by everyone, and should be an easy A if you work towards it..

Quite confused here, as it is a science course taken over the summer, but at the same time I spare myself the entire semester to study ALL the sciences which I would have completed.

Thanks Guys

im a junior majoring biochem in your school =)

you should take physics with hemmick/drees combination no matter what
it makes a lot of difference.
Not only do they make physics digestible but also manageable.

Last semester (soph spring) I took:
orgo II + Phy II (w/ hemmick&drees) + microbio + human anatomy + statistic + Chem TA = still pulled off 3.74

Bottom line is... I would recommend starting your physics series on junior yr. (phy I/junior fall, phy II/junior spring).

One of my friend took physics during summer... he got an A but he really struggled for that (and he's a real smart kid). Also I don't think it's worth all the trouble b/c getting an A with hemmick/drees requires only a fraction of the same effort for summer physics.

Well... it's really up to you dude. you probably have a plan for yourself.

Summer classes can be really difficult. If you're willing and able to learn at a much faster pase than you are used to, then summer wouldn't be a problem unless it would burn you out. I had to go to school last summer, and not having a break has kind of burnt me out.

take it during the summer. physics I isn't bad at all. just remember to study.

I'm considering taking physics 1 and 2 in summer as well. Word on the street is that the prof that teaches is it uses all take-home exams, quizzes etc. Naturally everyone works together and gets A's.

that seems cool dude....but the downside to that... Make sure you LEARN your physics or else be doomed for MCAT's. I rather get a B+ in physics, but know it inside out, rather than an A, where we all 'collaborated' on exams and hw, and not know jack crap for the mcat's
