I noticed several questions dealing with classical wave theory and lenses. I actually took a third physics class (not required by the premed prereqs) that covered these things, but we definitely never covered any of these topics in my prereq classes. Also, I took an entire class dealing with electricity and magnetism, and there were like 1-2 problems dealing with electricity, none on magnetism. Is this normal?

The unfortunate thing about the MCAT is that it tests probably 5-10% of all the content you need to be prepared for, and so on any individual test, many topics will be completely neglected. However, it is essential to know it all in physics, as there are no trends test to test, and some tests may actually be very heavy with electromagnetism. I remember people talking about a recent MCAT where there were 3 passages on electrochemistry...
