Why wouldn't you want a book that covers MCAT physics when preparing to take the physics portion of the MCAT? Textbooks go into too much depth on many topics and present questions in a way that won't help that much with your prep.

well, i have some review books called "organic chemistry as a second language" that i found very useful, both when i took orgo and now that i am reviewing for the mcat. i am hoping to find something similar for physics. to answer your question, i am not looking for a textbook per se, just something that explains the material in a more comprehensive fashion than the typical mcat books.

I suck at physics also. TPR has been amazing, it explains everything like you know nothing. The only down side is that it is 286 pages but if you read it every day you can get done with it 8-10 days.

tpr=the princeton review? sorry for my ignorance

If you can get your hands on TBR and TPR plus TPR science workbook you are golden. TPR is great at explaining things from the ground up but TBR has the better passages. If you had to pick one...I would TBR because their passages prepare you better.
