I am going to be retaking physics soon because mine has gotten pretty old and I need a refresher, so I was wondering if anyone knew how much harder retaking physics with calculus would be.

I already took algebra based physics a long time ago and did just fine in those so I thought this time around I would take it with calculus, especially since I now understand the basics of physics but I want to know the nuts and bolts of it. I took calculus 1 a while ago and will start calculus 2 next term as well.

So in light of that, how much more work would it be to still do well in calc based physics on round two?

I just finished 2/3 semesters of calc.-based physics. It'll take a lot of effort, but I've learned a tremendous amount and feel really satisfied having taken it.

Honestly though, if you already have an A/B in college physics it's probably not worth the retake. You should be competent enough to use MCAT review stuff to get up to speed without committing to a full-blown curriculum again.

Also be careful because Calc. II is, uh, pretty mean.

Don't retake the prereq unless you did badly...Just study an MCAT physics review book and some youtube videos or something. It's not worth the money if you're just trying to get into medical school.

100% recommend not to waste time with a retake unless you got a bad grade. The MCAT review books are more than enough to get you up to speed in physics.

There is no calc needed on the MCAT, you don't need that class to review. Take something else instead
