Is it required that you take calc based physics or just regular physics?

It is actually recommended that you take both. They cover different topics and without taking both you can only know half of the material.

Nah, MEG@COOL's just teasing you.

I think Harvard's HST (special science/engineering research MD program) requires calc physics, but that's the only one I know of...

adcoms may praise u more for calc based physics. i'm taking calc based. go for it if u think u can do ok

I am forced to have to take Physics II with calc next semester but I hear it is not so bad, but I guess it would depend on your professor.

It does look better on your transcript for adcoms, but calc based physics is not required, and if you feel uncomfortable taking it, then just take elementary based physics, it still counts the same.

I've been told that calc-based physics really doesn't help you that much. If you are a math person I'd say go for it because it will help you to understand it better. If you aren't a math person its not worth it because you won't understand the physics or the math.

Im not REAL good at math, but im ok, i think il be taking regular, but i heard at our school that the calc based physics class curve was set at 72% becuase so many poeple did bad....that kinda scared me...
