To the best of your knowledge, are there any US schools that do not have a physics requirement? I've looked at a lot of websites and can't seem to find any.

I've applied to all the Canadian schools that don't require it (I am a Canadian resident). I'm just trying to decide what to do if I don't get any acceptances... keep applying to non-physics schools... or just bite the bullet and enroll in the dreaded course

😉

thanks for your info

Baylor doesn't. . .

But seriously, just take physics. It's not bad at all.

Definately take physics. And, as has been suggested, take the non-calc physics if you can. It can do nothing but help you on the MCAT and, besides, physics(interwoven with chemistry) is how the universe works. 🙂

Thanks for your quick posts!

I withdrew from university physics last year. I realized I was sooo over my head and going to fail (I had never taken it in my life... ever...not even in high school). I did manage to get a 9 in the PS section of the MCAT, my combined score is 32R so I think I'm competitive.

If I don't get any acceptances, I'll probably just suck it up and enroll 🙂 that way I can keep my applications in Canada (not that I don't love you Americans 😍 ... I'm just hoping to stay close to my family and friends).

I hate PHYSICS!!!!
With that being said....get review books and get a high school physics book. Also google or yahoo "high school physics" You will get some amazing web sites that are immensely helpful. Learning the basics is a good foundation before getting to the more difficult stuff and is also a good reference for when the going gets rough.

I also never had high school physics and I detest my college physics. I love organic chemistry but hate physics.

Anyway, just keep practicing the problems and get solutions manuals for any textbook you will have. Also a private tutor would not hurt if you can afford one.
