can someone be kind enough to show me how to asnwer this question:

over a period of thime, a man uses 4 liters of 02 and produces 3 liters of CO2 What is the RQ fo that period?

1.075
2. 1.00
3. 1.33
4. 7.00

hence in the question it is 4/3 = 0.75

Yup...thats what i thought but,0.75 is'nt one of the options.moreover,if denthearthrob is asking the question it cant be any easy one coz he is one of the smartest guys around here.😀.That being said i have no idea what the answer is amongst the options.🙁

RQ=0.9; PROTEINS!

And most likely GLYCOPROTEINS.

The RQ of Carbs is 1. And, of Proteins on an average is around 0.8. So the fuel running the combustion is a "Protein+Carb". Glycoproteins rock the clocks!

And answer to Dino's question is 0.75. Case Closed.

Fats is .7
Protein is .83
