Hey guys, Im taking physiology and genetics this semester and was wondering if there are any tips/study habits that anyone could recommend me? Im shooting for A's in both of these classes. Thanks!

They are just like any other class - study and do what the prof asks.

Ha, obviously. When reading the text, for example, is it good to read the designated chapters twice? The first time is read straight through, like a novel, then the second time is read more in-depth, or anything of that sort? I also take the lecture notes and re-copy them into an outline format to keep organized. Anyone have anything else?

The teachers in these clases, along with biochem, will often test you with critical thinking type essay questions. I would go to the teacher and let him know that you want to do well in the class and ask them if they can provide you with any sample essay questions to study. Studying for those types of questions is where you learn how well you really understand the material.

Thats a great idea. Genetics is writing intensive, after all. Thanks for the input! If anyone else has any comments, it would be greatly appreciated 👍

If you seriously read both texts TWICE and go to class, I can't see how you won't shred these courses. I read only parts of the text from either course, reading about pacemaker potentials made me snooze...

Enjoy the semester!

Hopefully I do kill these two classes. I have all the background from taking the live online kaplan course, in addition to reading the KBB twice also. Wish me luck! Best of luck also to those of you applying this cycle!
