PI Became Sick? Closed Lab.... Help

Hi guys, so my PI recently fell sick and closed her Lab. She told me to find a new Lab position, as she is also considering moving away from the institution at this time. My project wasn't finished. Now, I'm wondering how will I write about this experience in my research essay? Will it look negative if I write about an experience where the PI fell sick and couldn't lead the Lab anymore? How should I format this experience?

She will still provide me with a recommendation letter, but my description of this experience will have to be short because she fell sick and closed her Lab.

It is life... It won't reflect poorly on you. Unfortunately, it is unlikely that your project will result in publications. Having said that, you can build up the experience as an example of resilience. It might delay your ability to apply this upcoming cycle, but you might find another lab, get lucky w science, and provide an updated letter of reference in Sep/Oct from your new lab.
