do you want to interview earlier? is there an advantage?

keep in mind we're talking about pre-december interviews, generally around september or october. obviously interviews that come later in the year will result in less chance of admission

I heard anyting before Dec. 1st is good. I remember last year, someone who interviewed at BU on Nov. 30th received an offer on Dec. 1st

That's the fastest acceptance I've ever heard of. Just a call to his room or cell to come to the office to sign the letter of acceptance before his departure, that saved lots of red tape.

lol really? thats assuming they all sit down in november 30th and pick.

i would think they decide throughout from august - december.. so by the end, well be competing for less spots.

It depends on how often the admissions committee meets during the cycle and reviews applications. For example, if they only meet once pre-december to fill their class and go over applications, it wouldn't make a difference whether you interviewed in oct vs nov. On the other hand, if they meet multiple times pre dec, then your application will be reviewed more often and it would be advantageous to have an earlier interview date.

Yeah I still remember that person was surprised too 😀 so I guess anyone who interview before Dec. 1 for BU should expect their decisions on Dec. 1 🙂
