I am looking for one more school to apply to. What are people's thoughts on Virginia Commonwealth, Hofstra, or Albany? I want somewhere that has a fun environment/city but also gives me a good chance of getting in (my scores are a 30 on MCAT and cGPA of 3.91).

Can Albany be described as a fun environment/city? I dunno, never been...

Hofstra notoriously likes high MCATs >30. Pick either Albany or VCU. I'd go with VCU because you'll be warmer if you matriculate there.

I think VCU seems to favor "fit" and in state more, and Hofstra likes high mcats. go with albany for your best shot

Richmond, Long Island, or Albany? Richmond wins by a long shot in that match up. VCU all the way.

I have heard the same high MCAT preference at Hofstra, although your GPA is higher. I would pick Albany, it's a decent city with stuff to do. And if you want a weekend trip, NYC is 2-2.5 hours away by train.
