When you go into your profile and click on "SELECT A DIFFERENT AVATAR IMAGE" an Avatar window will pop open with images to select from. To select your own custom image, go to the bottom of the Avatar pop up window and use the "USE CUSTOM URL" address bar or "SET URL" to select your own image that's not on the list provided by SDN! Have fun!

1. go to google (www.google.com)
2. click on images
3. type in your school name (ie. New York University or University of Michigan)
4. click search
it will pull up iamges (thousands of them) that pertain to your school
5. right click on the image u want
6 click on Properties
7. copy the Address

maybe i'm just really dense...but i really don't see where i can put my custom URL in my profile. could you explain one more time for the not-so-tech-savvy? thanks!
1) go to "my profile"
2) change or update your profile
3) message icon...go to "change avatar image"
4) then at the way bottom of the page...just to the bottom left of where you can click "next" is a place you can type in your url
5) click "set url"

Sonrisa Dentista and I obviously don't have the available URL field. I don't know why, but I've been back there a countless number of times looking for it. It's just not there <img border="0" alt="[Pity]" title="" src="graemlins/pity.gif" />
There's definitely not an option for rookie members like myself. If I did have that URL link, I'd definitely go with Steiner's. I once asked my buddy who is #1 at SIU what he thought when he gets a patient with a brutal set of teeth. He thinks:

step 8: go to your profile
step 9: click on View/Update Profile
step 10: click on Select a different Avatar Image

Now, I could be wrong. But I don't think Steiner's pic. is amelogenesis imperfecta. I think you usually get a "peg-tooth" appearance with that disorder--the teeth look smaller and peg-shaped and have an amount of space between them. Remember, I could be wrong about that. It looks to me like a good ol' case of severe periodontitis and other related occurrences. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Frown]" src="frown.gif" />
very good deciduous : its severe perio, in fact its ANUG (acute necrotizing ulcerative gingivitis) its not Amelogensis Imperfecta, b/c there is enamel formation.
