Just wondering, can you show pictures in interviews? I grew up abroad in a developing country, went to a rural high school there, lacked many basic amenties and adequate health care, wanted to be a doctor since then, and have interesting pictures to share. I thought the purpose of interviews is for schools to get to know you better. We show pictures/albums in everyday life to give people insights into our lives, why not in medical school interview?. Please give your thoughts. Thanks.

go for it 👍 but remember pictures should never replace your words. they mean more! so, just dont show pictures, tell the story first and then use your pictures to supplement.

It may very well seem like you are trying too hard and/or trying to "milk" the sympathy (and therefore the acceptance) out of your interviewer. From what I hear, they don't much like it when they think that students are trying to use sob stories to win their way in. That's not to say that you can't talk honestly about how you've grown up; you can and you should. Just do so with your words alone.
