When comparing the effect of pilocarpine on normal patients versus those whose postganglionic nerves had been severed, why doesn't pilocarpine produce any effects on normal patients, given that it's a cholinomimetic (which is noted to cause pupillary constriction)? How would it cause cause constriction if the postganglionic nerves had been severed?
