an attending pimped me on the causes of "fever of unknown origin in early pregnancy." The patient had a low grade fever (99-101) that started five days ago with no other symptoms other than mild to moderate stomach ache and some fatigue. CBC and urinalysis were normal. Ultrasound (I think she was like 3-6 weeks along) was pretty inconclusive - they couldn't see much, including an emryonic pole. Fever unresponsive to Tylenol.

I'm seriously stuck. Seeking wisdom.
