pineal gland and soul

Colleagues, I think you all know about a man like Rene Descartes and remember his theory that the soul is in the pineal gland. It was popularized by many people, especially the Russian writer Bulgakov in his story "Heart of a Dog". What do you think about this? Will it ever be possible to resurrect a person using the pineal gland?
