PIPET VS BURET

Can someone explain to me why the answer to measuring 12.52 mL would be best with a buret and not a pipet???

A buret is used only in titrations. If you see in the question "titrate" then the answer will automatically be buret.


Pipet is used for more precise measurements. Somebody on here told me that you only use pipets for small volume measurements <5 mL but there are some problems in destroyer and bootcamp that show the answer being pipet for volumes of 12.5 mL

SUMMARY:
if problem has "titration" in it the answer is buret
if problem is asking for a precise and accurate small measurement the answer is pipet

Yeah that's what I thought but on 2009 on ADA test it says it's buret... sigh..... thanks though!!! 🙂
