Does anyone know when the interview day ends at Pitt? And how long should be allowed from Pitt to the airport. I'm trying to buy plane tickets & the timing to get out of Pittsburgh is proving to be a problem! Thanks for your help!

I've heard the day ends about 3-4 (confirmed by schedule from prior interviews that states your day ends with interviews at 2, then apparently you meet with the dean for 10-15 min + goodbyes, etc.). I think their site/literature/email suggests that you book relatively late flight (after 6 i think). Flight out was a bit of a problem for me (more cost), so decided to fly out next morning. Extra hotel room cost less the cheaper flight worked out cheaper (and time to relax). Priceline it for $50 bux and you should be able to get Wyndham hotel like I did if interested.

Plus...independence airlines has cheapest flights I was able to find (assuming they fly into your city)

It depends on how late your last interview (the short one with the dean/assistant dean of blah blah) is. I was the last one out the door at like 5:00. If you have time constraints, contact them, explain the situation and see what they say. They might just say they can't help you, but what the hell, they won't reject you for asking questions.

I'm not sure about the airport question, which is probably pretty key. Maybe someone else can help you out there.

On my interview day I was the last one out and I was gone by 3:20. I believe the 28X Airport Flyer bus takes about 25 minutes? to get from the school to the airport. The bus runs every 15 or 20 minutes if I recall correctly.

I asked about taking at 5:45pm flight out and they said it was not a good idea. May have been the person I spoke to but she had no interest in making an accomodation. Good luck. I still think it is very reasonable request.
