HERE's an UPDATE:

I called a friend of mine that works in the admissions office and she told me that they had thier admissions meeting(normally 2/28) last wednesday. also, despite what the website says, the correspondence didnot go out until friday or even MONDAY in some cases, so we might have to wait another day.

when i asked her for a hint she laughed and said, "sorry, i really can't." as you know, the office is small and she probably did not want the other office personnel hearing her giving out info over the phone.

Here's an update, for whatever it's worth...
My application status page still says "Your confirmed appointment date is ... September 17th."
However, I just got an email from my student interviewer congratulating me on my acceptance! So, I would deduce that the "correspondence sent" message on the status check that I've heard people mention doesn't really mean anything yet.

What a waste of time! Instead of checking my mailbox and this site, I could be doing something productive. If they just put it online, they wouldn't have to deal with about a 100 people calling every day asking the same questions in different ways in order to try to get information.
