I have multiple acceptances and and am waiting for a few other post-interview decisions as well as financial aid packages. Just to be clear, there is no need to PTE ASAP, right? We have until April 30th to decide on one school?

Absolutely! Until 4/30, it is just a non-binding, early planning tool for the schools. All they can see is aggregate reports telling them how many of their accepted students selected PTE at their school or another school. They cannot run reports identifying individual students until then, so they have no way to know what you selected, or if you made a selection at all. Take your time!!!

Lets just clarify this a bit. the 4/30 is the guideline date by AAMC but by no means is it a rule. It is up the the acceptee to make sure they know both the PTE and CTE date for each school they are accepted to. There are few schools that appear to require CTE on 4/30. And, I point out repeatedly, there is no rule requiring schools to give you any financial aid information prior to CTE as well as no rule requiring any school to give you extra time to PTE/CTE while waiting another school to give you either WL or FA. Lastly, do not wait until last minute to submit PTE or CTE. Dont assume that the deadline must mean midnight of that day or that if it falls on a weekend surely its not until Monday. Dont screw around with PTE/CTE or you may find yourself without a seat when the music stops
True, but 4/30 is much more than a mere guideline, since it IS the date required by most schools (following the "guideline") to select PTE, so it's the date this gets real for most people. Failure to select PTE by 4/30 at a school that REQUIRES it is the first time an acceptance is at risk over an administrative oversight by an applicant!

I was more worried if any schools require selection before 4/30
They can't because they don't have access to applicant-level information with which to enforce until 4/30!

Couldn't the schools enforce this by using direct communication with their accepted students?

Theoretically they could do anything. But the "guidelines" do not provide for it, and the system does not allow for it, so, by using they system (which they are not required to do), they are agreeing not to do so.

So, sure, they could say you have a make a selection, but they can't use the system to verify compliance, so what would be the point? They could directly communicate, and applicants could directly lie in response. As long as you either come into compliance or withdraw by 4/30, there is absolutely no consequence, and there is no viable enforcement until the reporting system identifying individuals goes live on 4/30.

Remember, even then, PTE is non-binding, since you can still remain on WLs and withdraw anytime until electing CTE. Technically, you can even withdraw after then, but you would be breaking the "rules" and a contract by doing so.
