hey guys, I am a new guys here...

I plan to take the PCAT this August.. maybe June but I dont think I will be ready by june...

Anyway, I thinking about buying one of those preparation pcat books. Any good book suggestion?

thanks guys

Im taking it in June and then possibly again in August if I dont do well. I am using Kaplan and like it pretty well. I'm starting now, because there is a lot of information in each subject that will review you. It also goes over general study and test-taking tips, some which are specific to the PCAT, some that are just general. Its pretty good though.
Good Luck!

Hey Linsey,

I search on google and found several kaplan books for 2006-2007, which one did you purchased?

thanks

I used the Kaplan 2007 book to prepare for the PCAT that I took in October. I think it helped a lot. You might want to review with another book for math and microbiology though. I didn't feel as prepared for those. I also took a Kaplan free practice test a few weeks before the test which helped.

i used the kaplan 2007 as well. it was totally like the pcats itself. i would suggest taking the june pcats and apply early. that way you can maybe score some interviews, then retake again in Aug or Oct so if it improve, then you can score some more interviews. its a good way to go. I got several interviews with a 72 score. the test wasnt hard, except i suck at reading comp so that was my downfall. otherwise, its just basic math, general chem with some really easy ochem. bio was hard cuz i didnt take microbio, and then there is reading and verbal.
