So I'm not really sure what to do this summer. I'm graduating and won't be an official student anymore, so I don't think I'm eligible for jobs at my university. Could you guys share what your plans are, so I might get some inspiration?
atesme, if you're graduating from med school, I do recommend you to follow f_d's plan instead of working. Once you start your residency, you'll essentially never have four wks vacations at one shot.
There are hospital summer research programs (also open to students that just graduated). You are also eligible to apply for NSERC at your university although preference would be given to a third year student. There are government jobs (summer experience program in Ontario). Finally, if you got a good score in any of the sections on the MCAT (12 and above), you can apply for an intructor position at the MCAT prep companies.
