hey all -
what effect does the stimulation of the alpha-2 receptor have on platelet aggregation? I've read two sources, both of which contradict each other. One says it increases platelet aggregation, while the other says it decreases platelet aggregation. Thanks.

I just did a quick search. It would appear we don't know because the two very first hits I got on google were contradictory.

lol Buckeye, maybe a career in research isn't for you. Those are not the same entities. alpha2 is a membrane receptor, alpha2antiplasmin is a glycoprotein in plasma.
