It is somewhat rectangular if the bulging of the cervical ridge at the mesiobuccal is disregarded.

rectangular yes you are right they say from occlusal aspect.......but occlusal peripheral.....???
first of all i dont know the difference between occlusal and occlusal peripheral....kindly anyone please explain..
in kaplan one place its written trapezoidal and one place it is written rohomboid for....from occlusal peripheral....

it's Traphezoidal with buccal being longer than lingual and mesial longer than distal (ref . Kaplan book pg 797)

the occlusal outline is rhombhoidal,
the occlusal table RECTANGULAR.
Occlusal table : chewing surface inside the line formed by the continous mesial n distal cusp ridges, and MMR n DMR. smaller than entire outline of tooth. it is 50-60% of entire buccolingual width.
