why Amphotericin B is not used in Nocardiosis?????
polyene antibiotics interact with ergosterols in the cytoplasmic membrane of fungi, leading to rapid leakage of small molecules and fungal death ,so amphotericin b basically affects ergosterol wich is absent in Nocardia asteroides which causes nocardiosis.
i hope this explanation helps.

Very easy.
Amphotericin B is an antifungal
and Nocardiosis is a bacterial infection.
