hello friends i am giving my part 1 either in nov end or dec..so will get my results by the end of dec n i already have my ece evaluation done and the toefl results.Also all other documents ...my queries are
1.my recommendation letters are a year older so r they still ok for application or do i needa request new ones...also do my teachers directly needa send the letters to dental schools or i shud get sealed letters ...

2when is the application process starting in nyu and other east coast schools...

i needa go to my country in april n will return only in may/juneor mid july so if i apply by the end of jan, when is the interview generally starting...is it right idea to apply in jan since i have to visit my country in may-june/july mid....wat to do?i am totally confused....i heard the session starts in sep in nyu?does anyone know about this?PLEASE PLEASE GUIDE ME...i was always helped in the past in this forum n i hope this time also....god bless u all

Hi,
Normally most schools ask for recommendation letters which have been dated within the past one year i.e., when you submit your application they should be dated less than one year .... so if they are more than one year old its better to get new ones.... there is no need for them to be sent directly to the school... you can ask your dean and professors to give you the letters in a sealed envelope and it is good if they can keep their seal / stamp on the sealed area of the envelope as well on the outside ( hope you understand what I mean ).... you can send these letters with your application form....

For NYU the application deadline is 5th MAR and for BU it is 1st FEB (if I am not mistaken)....If you apply at the end of JAN then you may be called for interviews anytime in FEB or MAR......

One suggestion for you - request ETS early to send your TOEFL score as they take a lot of time... the best thing is to order them over the phone... even though they charge a bit more, they will be mailed in 4 business days...
