please guys, help me decide between Barry or Temple.

i will count all the votes that come in, and whichever school wins i will attend. serious!!!!

What are you looking for in a POD school? This is a important choice b/c you will probably spend 4 yrs there.

They are both very strong clinically. I dont think you can go wrong with picking one over the other.

Hey Royaltee, don't you think you should interview at Barry and see what the program has to offer first before making a decision?

probably not all four if this is how he/she will make the decision on which school to attend.

hey brother, it seems you were born sense of humor free.

other light-hearted people's opinions/votes welcome.

Well for one thing, when I was in Miami, all I saw on the beaches was a huge population of senior citizens speaking French. I haven't been to Temple so can't say much for that school.

If you want a career, from a good education, Temple. If you want a wife, picked up from on a scantily clad beach, Barry. Hmm, Barry does sound good huh? 😛

Obviously Temple! I mean don't get me wrong, Miami is AWESOME and I would go back to visit the area in a heartbeat, butttt I personally think it's a lot easier to get a good education in a city where I'm not tempted to go to the beach 24/7! Barry seemed really nice though, and I've heard good things, so whatever your decision I'm sure you'll be fine 😀

Since you are the same guy that started the thread on pod girl hotness (which was incredibly entertaining btw) I think the choice is easy...my vote is for Barry

So,
I just wanted to clear up this Barry - beach - Miami thing everyone seems to be talking about...I'm a BMS student at Barry and will most likely be attending Barry's podiatry program next year...yeah it's nice weather but when it's time to study, you should be able to get work done...I'd personally rather surround myself with a more comfortable/pleasant environment than say a super stellar academic backround - yeah, sounds pretty lame to some of you true scholars but I appreciate that kind of thing, some people don't mind much and can adapt to anything...I'd chose Barry if environment outweighs academics for you...

As for academics at Barry -- in my opinion (not fact, opinion)...Barry isn't a top tier of school from what I've heard..I've talked to some students, some new hip podiatrists (not older ones-- things have changed) ... I also had the priveledge of speaking to residency directors that haved stated similar things, they also, however, said that Barry's strengths lie in the clinical aspect of the education (as mentioned earlier)...and said if I really wanted to be a good podiatrist, I could do it at any school...:xf:

I personally, didn't do too hot in undergrad so Barry was a good option for me, my girlfriend is down here too so -- well it makes sense for me on many levels... (but if things were different, I'd try to go to Scholl! 🙂)

BUT --
Weigh it out, I don't see it as being just 4 years -- it's 4years of life as a student! You won't get that back no matter what!

So for whatever it means for you...Succeed, of course -- but I say...don't underestimate at least TRYing to set yourself up so that you are comfortable and happy while you're at it!

Good Luck 👍

thank you so much wannabedpm for your input. there are many things to consider here before matriculation, we all have important decisions to make and we hopefully will make the right ones. thanks again.
