Please help! I'm trying to pick schools. I have a tentative list and could really use your help/opinions.
3.95 GPA at a not very prestigious university
34MCAT (12PS, 11VR, 11BS).
LDS mission (2 yrs. proselytizing)
Research
-Student Research 2 semesters (poster presentation, no publications),
-Week of research at Captitol Reef,
-2.5 month SURP program (full-time internship researching) at University of Iowa
Service
-Tutored for 3 semesters at university (70hrs.)
-Church Nursery Teacher (1yr.) and other church stuff prior
Leadership
-Intro to Biol TA (2 semesters @ 10hrs. a week)
Patient Contact
-Orem Comm. Hosp. ER (few months, 150 hrs.)
Shadowing
-Ophthalmologist (8 hrs.)
-Otolaryngologist (30 hrs.)
My interview and essays will probably be just below average because i'm not good at writing or interviewing.
