The MCAT section is very slow in responding, so I figured I would post here as well, if anyone has a spare moment they can check it out. Any advice is welcomed. Thanks.

So i'm taking the MCAT in June, and i've been studying for about 3 months and feel pretty confident. But every time I take a practice test I lose that confidence big time. I've taken 4 Examkrackers tests and have scored between 35-40 on the CARS section each time. What's frustrating is that I took the old MCAT a year ago, and scored 13, not to mention all my previous tests last year I got 12-13 continuously. I took the old mcat prep with Princeton Review, so idk what difference that makes.

When I answer the questions I feel so confident, but when I get my score i'm depressed. CARS was always my easiest section, and I don't understand how I went from doing so well last year, to doing horrible now. I feel like I should give up at this point, since i'm studying so much and my score keeps dropping.

I think you're suffering from burn out. All the classic symptoms are there. Studying harder but dropping scores. Depression when results aren't what we want and we spiral further down every time. Take a week off and just chill. Also, the only scores you should care about for practice is the AAMC material and nothing else.

Are EK exams hard? I keep getting between a 60-70% on them, and I know my content. I've done so many practice questions. Do you have any advice? Because i'm wondering why the hell I put in so much effort and time if I can't get above a 70%, and my scores keep getting lower.

I did a quick search online, EK exams are harder than the actual exam. 70% is generally a good area for the exam if you want to get at least a 510 I'd say. The MCAT is progressively moving away from memorization and more towards comprehension and critical thinking examination hence why people are saying the exam is getting progressively harder. Work more on your test taking skills if you think your content knowledge is sufficient. The best way to do this is through the AAMC material such as the the Study Guide, the Flash Cards, the Section Bank, the Unscored and the Scored. It's close to 900ish questions and that should not only give you a feel of how the exam is going to be like but also to improve your test taking skills. People have done statistical analysis on how people study for the Step 1 and they've shown that the only thing you could really do that was statistically significant was the amount of practice problems done. Keep at it and try your best. It's a hard exam designed to make you burn out. Don't fall for the trap.
