I have been accepted to both VCU Post-Bac Pre-Med Certificate as well as Georgetown's Post-Bac Pre-Med Certificate program.

Here is what I am wondering...
VCU: 460.00 credit hour x 24 credits needed in the program = $11,040
Georgetown: 1160.00 credit hour x 30 credits needed in the program = $34,800

I already have a B.S and M.S and I am going back to take the pre-requisites needed to apply for medical school. Is one program really better than the other or does it not matter since they are both 4 year schools and are credible? Should I go to VCU and save my money for med school? Or is the Georgetown program and its name really going to benefit me when applying to medical school next year?

Any help is much appreciated!

Depends on how you did in undergrad and how well you're prepared to succeed in very difficult coursework. Also depends on about 1000 other subjective factors.

But in general I'd vote for VCU for the reasons you list.

Best of luck to you.

Thanks for the reply! I agree with you.
