So I go to UW-madison and my current average gpa is about 3.3 I am getting a BS in Neurobiology and a BS in Mathematics. I just took the DAT today and here are my score breakdown.

18 Bio
21 OChem
23 G Chem
19 PAT
16 CR
16 QR

Science 20
AA 19
PAT 19

Usually on practice exams my QR is always above a 20. I have no clue what the hell happened. I ran out of time and might have psyched myself out. Also I have usually never done really bad in CR but I just couldn't focus on that part for some reason. My question is should I retake the exam especially since my gpa is not has high has most average dental students or do you guys think that I might have a shot at getting in?? Also with this kind of score what dental schools are suitable for me? I am a Minnesota resident and U of M is a great dental school but I have no clue if I have a chance... Please let me know what you guys think. Thank you so much!

Two 16's probably means you need to retake. Your other scores were very good so dont feel discouraged. Considering you have a BS in math, you should be able to improve your QR. Maybe you didnt study enough b/c it was one of your majors. Keep in mind most of the math on there is from high school courses.

Study hard, retake, and Im sure you will get the scores you want. 🙂
