Ok guys here is my problem. I have been studying like a mad man since early May for the August PCAT. I have spent countless hours on math, bio, chem, and verbal. However, I have not done ANYTHING for reading. I think I am lacking the motivation for this section because a lot of people claim that you cannot improve your reading comprehension skills in just a few months. But I do not want to walk into the PCAT having done absolutely nothing for this section. Do you guys think you could help me out here or give me some motivation?

I have heard that some people use the ExamKrackers Verbal for the MCAT to study for this. I haven't tried it so I can't tell you how well it works. You could do a search and see if this might work for you.

the key to the reading section (as is important with all other parts) is speed. don't read at the speed that you speak. it's easy to get stuck in the groove of "saying" the words in your mind. practice speed-reading...just glide your eyes over the words and search for total-comprehension of each complete sentence. don't get stuck reading individual words, read the sentences as a whole if that makes sense.

haha...hard to explain but hopefully you will see what i mean.

anyway, when you can read quickly you have a lot more time to reason out each question.
