Hi guys! My app has not been verified yet but it will be soon. Please critique my school list before I finalize them! My research is pretty weak and tbh from reading the school websites idk how to tell if a school is research-heavy so I highly suspect that there's a good amount of research schools in my list that should be out. It would be great if you guys could help me eliminate these schools too! Thanks a lot!
Background: Asian, California
Academic and Stats
  • UC alum from 2017
  • GPA: 3.81 (I estimated it to be around the same for both cGPA and sGPA)
  • MCAT: 506 this January (127/124/130/125), 513 in June (131/125/127/130)
Clinical Volunteering
  • 3 years Hospital Volunteering ~170 hours (long time ago. The program did not allow us to do much so I couldn't mention anything substantial. Hope this doesn't look too bad)
  • 3 quarters as Interpreter and Scheduler at a free clinic ~30 hours
  • 2 years Hospital Volunteering ~500 hours
Non-clinical Volunteering
  • 1 year Interpreter and Assistant at non-medical events for low-income individuals ~100 hours
Clinical Employment
  • 2 years Medical Scribe and Receptionist for a specialist ~1250 hours (underserved community)
  • 2 years Medical Scribe and Receptionist (+ other administrative/insurance-related tasks) for a different specialist ~350 hours
Non-clinical Employment
  • 9 months Receptionist (Supervisor position during the weekend) at a medical facility, lots of interactions with patients from underserved community ~1700 hrs
Research
  • Almost 2 years Lab Assistant ~700 hours (I honestly did not do much, mostly just did the simple and easy stuff)
  • Poster Presentation: worked on a project by myself during the last 1.5 quarters of undergrad. There was result but it's not data, just images for comparison so I believe it's very weak. I can still talk about the reasoning of the project so hope it's not too bad.
Leadership
  • 1.5 years Secretary of a non-profit organization focusing on health screening and education for the uninsured/low-income individuals in our community ~120 hours
Shadowing
  • 40 hours 4 different specialists

Your target schools are good choices. You could add these schools:
Jefferson
New York Medical College
Seton Hall
Rosalind Franklin
Your decent-ish schools are fine as reaches and you could include Kaiser, Miami, Einstein and Western Michigan from your low chance group.

Love the screen name.
Get in more service to others less fortunate than yourself.

Here is a more realistic list.
Albert Einstein (maybe )
Emory
UCF (maybe)
Pitt (maybe)
U Toledo
U VM
Miami
Tufts
George Washington
Georgetown
SLU
Albany
Rush
Rosy Franklin
NYMC
MCW
VCU
EVMS
Wayne State
Wake Forest
Netter
Jefferson
Temple
Drexel
Creighton
Tulane
Loyola
Uniformed Services University/Hebert (just be aware of the military service commitment)
Oakland-B
Seton Hall
Nova MD
CUSM
Kaiser
TCU/UNT
UCD
UCI
UCR IF you're from the Inland Empire
Any DO program. I can't recommend Touro-NY, Nova, Wm Carey, LUCOM, for different reasons. MSUCOM? Read up on Larry Nasser and you decide. LMU has an accreditation warning, which concerns me. CalHS is too new and has a too small a rotations base, it seems.
