I'm a Canadian applicant who is writing the dat on august 28th (first time), has an overall 3.6ish gpa (university does not calculate it for us and the grading is kind of weird) and i have 20 hours volunteer experience. I was deciding which schools to apply to and so far i have the list down to:

Baylor College of Dentistry
Boston University
Case Western Reserve University
Columbia University
Creighton University
Harvard School of Dental Medicine
Howard University
Indiana University
Loma Linda University
Marquette University

Midwestern University, Illinois

Please help me remove any schools you feel there is no reason for being there (i was hoping to get the list down to about 15 - i know its gonna cost alot but I spent the last term working and have a bit saved up). You only have 20 hours of volunteer work. Are you kidding?

Narrowing this list is dependent on a number of factors the most important being you.
You need your DAT scores to determine how competitive you are or will be. Nonetheless, if you cherry-pick a few of these and apply it would be tantamount to submitting a timely application, but a lot about any application you may submit hinges of the DAT scores that you will obtain. I recommend that you work on the DAT more.

Thanks for the suggestions, and i definitely am working on getting the best DAT score i can, and am looking at that site (i didnt know about it before).
As I dont care which school i get into, do you think there are any schools on the list that i should eliminate because its a harder school to get into, and if i were to get into the harder school, i would have gotten into an easier one for sure. I'm just trying to eliminate the harder ones and keep the easier ones. By the way, my DAT date is set for Aug. 28th..i'm not sure if that affects anything, and i'm submitting my application by the end of the month
