so i took many (about 12) college credit hours worth of classes during high school, and would like to know if i transfer them, will they be included in my GPA. The response says it wont be calculated in Wingate's GPA, and you will be given the credit hours, but the grades will be shown on my transcript. the grades are kind bad (mostly C's). My question is will a pharmacy school re-calculate the grades into my GPA, and is it a bad idea to have them showing even if they are not factored into my GPA. Heres the response i got...
I am sorry that it has taken me so long to get back to you, but I do have an answer for your question. For any student who has transfer credit or dual-enrollment credit, only the credit is transferred. The grades do not factor into Wingate's GPA on the transcript. The only time we factor in the transfer grades is for graduation honors and honor societies. The grades will be listed on the Wingate transcript, but they are not a part of the cumulative GPA. I hope this is helpful to you! Let me know if you need anything else!
