Okay, so I am looking to apply to a variety of schools located through out the U.S. I already have all of my pre-requisites done and pharmcas apps filled out. How are my stats?

Science G.P.A: 3.8
Math G.P.A: 3.69
Overall G.P.A: 3.92
PCAT: 88%

E.C's:
4 years of volunteer work at Gilda's Cancer House (for children living with cancer)
3 years at the humane society
5 years of tutoring students in general chemistry and organic chemistry
4 years of hospitality work at DeVos Hospital
80 hours of observation in a pharmacy

Awards:
College Council Scholarship
Dean's List
Honor Roll every year
M.D.P (most devoted player, college athletic award)

Umm, I'm not looking for ego stroking randomname. I'm just nervous. I probably should have mentioned I just turned 18, and I hope colleges won't look down upon my age.

You should be able to get into whatever school you want 👍

I don't get why these high GPA people even bother asking. If you've surfed the boards at all you'll know that for US schools, not in California, a 3.6+ would be score you a good chance of getting in.

Just trying to score attention or does your ego needs stroking?

Your stats are great as well as your extracirriculars. You have been tutoring chemistry for 5 years and you just turned 18?? wow.

I would instead focus on your writing and interview skills. Everyone knows you look good on paper (in regards to stats), but now I would worry about standing out and showing schools why they should pick YOU! 🙂

no need to be nervous, unless you have zero personality for an interview. other than that your stats should get you interviews anywhere.

I am confused about your status.

1. How do you have a pcat score if, in another post, you're asking if you're prepared to take the pcat in august, which hasn't occurred yet?
2. In that same post 4 days ago, you have yet to take organic and microbiology, so how are you able to finish all your prerequisites in the span of 4 days?

After observing the OP's posts over the last few days, I've come to the conclusion that (s)he must be a troll. By far the bulk of those posts are of the "Look over my stats" (which change like a chameleon) or "Bias against CC students?" (after saying that his/her prereqs were taken at a university) or "What are your stats?" (when there are oodles of threads on exactly this topic) kind.

I think state sweetie here just morphed into a tatter

That's what I was thinking. I don't know if anyone else really bothered looking at the person's past postings or not, but I'm glad there are others who agree haha.

Knew it was a troll after I read their initial post on this thread. Of course, I didn't read it until the troll had edited and claimed to have just turned 18. Pretty obvious. So you really were a tutor for organic chemistry at age 13?

As I said in my previous post here on this thread, I think this troll has morphed. Tatter has just put a thread up with similar stats.

...and I hope colleges won't look down upon my age.

they might look down upon the fact you just got OWNED

wait... your gpa is a 3.9 and ur pcat is almost a 90... trying not to be mean... but you shouldn't even bother applying you have no chance... 🙁

OK guys don't laugh...
but when you call ppl a *troll* what exactly do you mean?
Is it like they are a big fat liar!!!! lol

no its not big fat liar its someone that post non sense in a thread.

And this thread is a joke... why are you even posting here?

Is a 3.6+ GPA is good even for someone who is applying for pharmacy school after two years?

ehhh what do you mean? are you suggesting that people who apply for pharmacy in 2 years is suppose to have like a 4.0 or something?

The thing that I couldn't believe was the 5 years of tutoring otherwise it would have been a believable stats.

My bad, I fixed the question. I was trying to ask a question...I just forgot to include the "Is."

Nice catch 🙂

lol...i saw this too...so that means you took ochem when you were 12, and started tutoring 13-17? AND you finished all your pre reqs and pcat...impressive i must say

I'm calling BS on this, there is no way that you are 18 and you have already completed your prerequisites and did that many ECs unless you are one of those freaks who were in high school at the age of 10.

I've heard of a couple students who graduated and started dispensing at the ripe old age of 20. I feel so old whenever I think about that.
