I've had a rash of recent 2004 application year profile additions to MDapplicants.com, and while I was letting the first few slip through, it's become somewhat epidemic with folks adding their application profiles when they've heard virtually nothing back from schools.
My fear is that people will place themselves in the database here in October, then forget about it, and I'll have this bilgewater of useless data that will either a) affect the quality of the search results b) require someone to go through all >750 profiles and see which ones are valid. There are blatant instructions asking folks not to add these incomplete 2004 application year profiles until at least next January (when they should be at least more complete), as well as validation routines trying to tell people to come back next year - yet, despite this, folks are determined to overcome all obstacles and do the wrong thing....
It makes me wonder about these future medical students. 😕
Come back next spring! Thanks to all who have contributed complete profiles.
