sorry for the dumb question,
but do medical schools require your first semester grades of the year you are interviewing? I am really hoping not! esp. since many of the top schools don't tell us about decisions till march/april.

i think if you took premed requirements in that first semester the schools would definitely ask to see it...but if not i'd imagine that it's your choice whether or not to send an updated transcript. usually it helps in waitlist situations if you get good grades.
 
yup, they're going to ask to see all of your grades. they may offer you an acceptance w/out seeing the grades from the year you're applying, but they will ask for an updated transcript once you've finished your degree. it shouldn't be a big deal, though. as long as they're not pre-req courses and as long as you've got a C or better, i think (emphasis on think) you should be okay.
