PM&R program in West LA is excellent! It has very good musculoskeletal training, accredited pain fellowship for 2 positions, and Rancho Amigos Rehab Center (which is becoming privatized). In addition, the residents get to do block (pain) procedure, participate in sports medicine at the local YMCA club, and perform many EMG studies. There is exposure to both private and VA settings. The residents I talked to are very happy about the program and PD. If you want a good chance to learn about pain, it is the place to go to.
