Does anybody have experience applying for or working part-time jobs? Was offered a part-time job doing EMG's, outpatient physiatry consultations, etc. for a multidisciplinary group, although the practice said the last part-time doc before me didn't have a contract. They just made a verbal agreement for hourly pay. Does this seem like a red flag?

Second, is there a way to prevent against practices from fradulently billing under your name/license? Eg. as in reviewing one's credit card statement, can one review what activities were billed under my UPIN, license, etc?

Thank you... (no more putting off the real world)

You should always have a contract. There is too much money at stake to just "wing it."

How are the hours calculated? Hours you are there? Hours in which you have patients scheduled? Hours you have patients show up? Total # of minutes you spend with pts? There are a lot of ways to screw someone over with this system.

I don't know the answer to your second question.
