I had my UW application reviewed today by a counsellor and she suggested that I make a change to conceal my political affiliations and avoid any potential bias from the committee. I agree with this but am not sure just how to do/word it.

Currently it reads "Campaign Volunteer, Green Party of Canada"

What can I change it to?

She suggested "Campaign Volunteer, Political Party"

What do you think? Any other suggestions?

I agree with the counsellor. Certainly if it comes up in an interview, say that it was the Green party, but I would suggest leaving it off of the paper application (because if they don't like the paper app, there's no way you'll get an interview). In spite of what UW admin likes to say, there is a great of subjectivity that goes into choosing who gets the nod for an interview, and the faculty tends to be a bit conservative. I would play it safe if I were you...

Thanks for your input Tokey. :)
