There should not even be a discussion about who you don't want to run a code when PGY II year comes: pathology. Many on this board are simply clueless. :confused:

Sadly, Pathology residents have to be around during some things that may involve codes, such as plasmapheresis procedures. I will gladly defer to whoever comes running into the room when one of my patients codes, however. Personally, I don't care what specialty the resident is, I want a good IV nurse and respiratory tech. The cardiac surgeon can run my code.

There are idiot residents in every field who I wouldn't want running my code, and the opposite is also true.
