Alright, so here is my situation. I applied two years ago with a 30 MCAT and 3.8 GPA. I submitted my AMCAS in mid-July and got 2 interviews and 2 waitlists. The first time I took the MCAT, I planned very poorly and only studied for a week. For this cycle, I decided to retake it and I studied pretty hard for two months, but ended up only getting a 26. I have significantly improved my extracurriculars for this time around (they are pretty darn solid if I do say so myself) and I was hoping that submitting my application the day it opens would help me out as well. So the way I see it, here are my options:
Do I apply as early as I can with my current MCAT scores without retaking and hope it's enough to get my foot in the door?
Do I apply as early as I can with my current MCAT scores, retake the test as soon as I can, and update my application with my new scores as soon as they come in? (but would they not verify my application until my new score is in anyway, making my application late?)
Do I retake the MCAT and apply a month and a half late with the new (and hopefully improved) score?
Do I apply to more DO schools?
PLEASE HELP ME!
