So last year I tested positive for QFT-G test, fortunately my insurance covered a chest x-ray on which the results were negative for TB.
Now whenever I apply for a new volunteer opportunity or shadowing position, they ask me to provide a recent chest x-ray (within 6 months/mine is over 13 months), but unfortunately my Obamacare insurance won't cover it and I cannot afford paying for it cash.
What should I do?!

Thank you.

You should be able to do a 2 step PPD. Usually you won't need a chest xray, unless the PPD is positive.

See if your school health center or county health dept can help you. Or go ahead and take the INH. You’ve got latent TB.
Yes I do have latent TB, I was planning to get more hours before applying this cycle as I am low on shadowing, but the medication is going to take 3 months which is going to be too late.

Call your county health department. This is right in their wheelhouse.

If you need to pay out of pocket for a chest x Ray then try calling around to freestanding imaging centers in your area and ask the cash price.
