Same old generic thread - but I'd appreciate some feedback specific to my situation and also some explanation about how some things work.
USMLE Step 1: 204
COMLEX Level 1: 505
Yes. below below average. BUT, I want to apply to ACGME programs, AOA as back up - home institution as preference for that. Is it possible for ACGME? Do places look into both USMLE or COMLEX or will I kind of get filtered because of the super low Step 1. I've heard that a lot of places are DO friendly - any input on that?
I'm also hoping for city locations - I've lived in suburbs all too much so I want a different location preferably philly or NY, maybe chicago. Are most those locations too competitive and I have to settle with community hospitals back in the suburbs?
