I have only a 3.23 full gpa and a 3.05 science gpa, with major in biology and minor in studio art which includes hands on things like drawing and sculpture. Very low I know, I am a junior now, and am taking a gap year currently during which I tutored at an education center and shadowed a prosthdontist I also shadowed the year before. I have done EMT freshman, sophomore, and part of junior year. I have no research (ouch), and i only have my next senior year for last ditch effort to salvage my gpa. I'm studying for DAT right now. Theoretically, if I can score 20's on the sections, can I get in to dental school..? I'm worried about research or ESPECIALLY letters of recommend as I never get close to any professors.

In essence, how screwed am I? Thanks all.

not screwed. If you plan on taking a gap year, you have plenty of time to get to know a professor. Your GPA is a bit low, but not terrible. Do really well on the DAT and it can be overlooked.
