Hi all,
I have a quick question about the ERAS letters. Is it possible to add/delete a letter for a particular program after ERAS submission to the program?

All my home institution letters are in except for the away letters. After doing some Calif Anesthesia aways, I wanted to designate some programs with those letters, but they haven't been uploaded yet and it's almost time to submit. Can I change my mind later to un-designate the program with the "pending letter?" Will other schools in the same area as the away frown upon the away letter by asking "why didn't I do an away and get a letter from their own respective institution? Am I overthinking this?

Thanks. Any help is appreciated.

If I remember this right, you can submit the application and not send the letters right away. My letters weren't in until late September and nobody cared. I would submit the application, send the letters you have to the programs you want to get them, and then designate that the programs you want the away letter to go to get them when they come in.

i only had one letter in when i applied, its very common to submit and finalize your app and then add the letters when they come in. i actually had most of my interview offers before all my letters were in. you could miss out on chances if you wait, in fact, so i advise people to submit their app ASAP and fill the rest in as it comes.
