Hey guys. I am wondering: Post-acceptance, how much do grades matter at Wayne State's SOM? I tried calling the admissions office and asking, and I got conflicting answers. I have already completed all of my prerequisites, and am currently doing an SMP program. If anyone could help me out, it would be really appreciated.

You probably got conflicting answers because there probably isn’t a set rule or grade criteria post-acceptance. It’s probably reviewed case-by-case if something concerning happens. Just try to find a balance of doing your best without fretting too much about it.

My goal my last semester was just to make sure I didn't get below a B. But other than that just relax.

One individual at the admissions office had told me I would need to maintain a GPA similar to what I had when I applied, while another person in the office just said successful completion. Do you happen to know where I could find info specific to Wayne State?

I would be utterly stunned if you applied 3.75 cumulative, yiur last semester get like a 3.0 and then have 3.7 overall and they did anything about it.

I’m not sure where exactly to find the info. What is your situation?

My cumulative undergrad GPA is 3.51. I am currently in an SMP program where I am taking graduate level courses and first year med classes. I know that I will be getting benefit from the program, but I also do not want to end up stressing like crazy about the marks I need to get. Currently, my GPA in the program is 3.6 .

I wouldn't worry about it. Try to get at least a B in ever class and you should be just fine. Only issue I would see if someone failed classes/got unsatisfactory grade in a pre-req they were completing after their acceptance but before matriculation.
